FaceRUSH ("the App")
Last updated: June 19, 2026
Larry Works ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how the App handles information.
1. Overview
The App does not require an account and does not collect information that directly identifies you, such as your name, address, phone number, or email address.
2. Face Data & the TrueDepth Camera
The core feature of the App uses the front (TrueDepth) camera together with Apple's ARKit face tracking to recognize your facial expression in real time. We make the App's handling of face data explicit below.
- What is collected: Numeric expression data computed by ARKit (blendshape coefficients β values from 0.0 to 1.0 describing facial movements such as how far your mouth is open, blinks, and smiles) and the live front-camera image. The App does not create or store a facial biometric template ("faceprint"), a 3D face mesh, or a depth map used to identify an individual.
- Why it is collected: Solely to (1) detect, on-device, whether your expression matches the on-screen prompt and advance the game, and (2) capture still frames from the live preview to generate a "funny-face" highlight video (time-lapse) on your device. It is never used for any other purpose (no advertising, identity verification, or profiling).
- Sharing & where it is stored: All camera footage and expression data are processed entirely on your device in real time and are never transmitted to or shared with our servers or any third party. Data from the TrueDepth camera is never stored off-device. The generated highlight video is kept only in temporary on-device storage and is sent to your Photo Library or other apps only when you choose to "Save" or "Share" it.
- Retention: Expression data (blendshapes) is discarded immediately after each frame is processed and is never persistently stored.
- Relationship to analytics: No face data, camera imagery, or TrueDepth-derived information is ever sent to Firebase Analytics (described below); only gameplay events and device information are.
3. Saving to Your Photo Library
The "add to photos" permission is used only when you choose to save your generated highlight video to your camera roll. Saving happens solely at your request, and we do not read the contents of your photo library.
4. Usage Analytics
To improve the App and diagnose issues, the App uses Firebase Analytics, provided by Google, to collect information about how the App is used.
- Examples of data collected: in-app events such as app opens and game start/finish, gameplay statistics such as player count and clear times, device type, OS version, approximate region, and an anonymous identifier for the app instance.
- This information is handled in an aggregated, non-identifying form and is used only to improve the App.
- The data is processed on Google's servers. For how Google handles data, please see the Google Privacy Policy.
The App does not show ads, does not track you for advertising purposes, and does not sell personal data to third parties.
